Epic Games and Wacom: Convergence of creativity & technology
Wacom products are used throughout the game creation pipeline from 2D and 3D concept art in Adobe Photoshop and Pixologic Zbrush, to texture and lighting in Allegorithmic’s Substance Painter, and in game development itself within the Unreal Editor.
My art SUCKED at 19. Now Marvel, MtG, Disney, Blizzard hire me
I began my art journey when I was 19 years old. I wanted to go to art school in college, but the artwork in my portfolio got me rejected, so I had to learn on my own. Fast forward about 20 years and today I get hired by big studios like Wizards of the Coast, Disney, Marvel, and Blizzard. It’s even come to the point now where I’m turning jobs down.
The power of digital ink
Humans have been using ink for thousands of years to express ourselves and preserve knowledge – from plant-based paintings on cave walls to writing and illustrating foundational cultural manuscripts. In the 20th and 21st centuries, digital ink has taken this uniquely human impulse to the next level, with Wacom at the forefront. Wacom created the electro-magnetic resonance (EMR) technology that powers our devices, and we’ve been perfecting it ever since. Today, creatives worldwide use Wacom technology to empower their work through the use of digital ink.
